A Closer Look At Legends… And How They Move

Who’s the better player between Ronaldo and Messi?  The eternal football question of the last decade.  I don’t have an answer. I’m not even going to try to provide one… because it’s really a pointless argument.

I think we should just enjoy two great players.

messironaldo

However, I will talk about what I think their strengths and weaknesses are, at least in terms of training or athleticism.

What can we learn from them?  A lot obviously.  We can learn from the greats, in any area.

I’ve talked before about how Ronaldo trains.  He is relentless and he does a lot of bodyweight exercises.  I believe this is the one of the main reasons he is such an athletic specimen.

He does 1500 sit ups per day.  Have you seen his core?  Everyone has, because he can’t wait to whip it out.  He looks like a cobra… his midsection is that solid.

He does other bodyweight moves at high reps per day as well.  His ability to sprint, jump, his two footedness, kicking power and heading ability is no doubt largely to do with this regime.  He can also twist on a dime and turn powerfully while the other players are still trying to get rooted to turn.

That’s the ridiculous core he has.  He improved his athleticism drastically from when he was a very slight kid.

If we are looking at where C. Ronaldo could maybe improve, we are probably talking about things Messi has: fluidity, poise, rhythm, balance and vision.

Messi lacks the same sort of power, ambidexterity, aerial power, sprinting off the ball and strength, as CR.

I’m not saying they are poor on these things, just that the other one is a genius in that regard.

When  I look at how CR trains, from my knowledge, if he stopped his add-ons of weight machine exercises and bicep curls and instead did more multi-dimensional animal movements and tai chi type exercises, he’d also make his spine, shoulders, hips and pelvis as incredible as his core and large muscle groups.

He’s also gain more poise and rhythm.  His calmness would also lead to Messi like vision.

Could you imagine how good he’d be then?  You’d probably be talking about the best ever.  On the other hand if Messi worked on his body to the amount Ronaldo does, with a few of the above subtractions and additions, you’d also be looking at the supernatural.

Best ever?

You could make an argument for any one of these players as the greatest and a few more. It’s a pointless debate…  all legends.

Is there anyone in sport doing the complete training I am talking about here?  Yes, there is: Conor McGregor.

He has the poise, calmness, balance, ambidexterity, spinal strength, core stability, fluidity and effortless power… all in the one package.

He’s studied all this too.  He’s continually evolved his method.  As his coach John Kavanagh says, ‘win or learn.’  He actually prefers the term ‘learn or learn,’ but that doesn’t sound as good.

Coach Kavanagh is way ahead of the curve.  That’s why Ireland (6.5 million people) came back with more amateur MMA medals from Vegas this year than any other nation in the world!

The Next Level Sports Program was being built concurrently to these wonderful athletes doing the same practises.  Near the end of my research I could see who’s training was on another level, and why.

The Magic Behind Burning Fat Like Crazy

I was watching a show on the boob tube yesterday called ‘Magicians secrets revealed.’  It was amazing to see behind the curtain of these seemingly impossible tricks.

But there was a way to do it.

Getting the energy, physique and fat loss results we want can sometimes seem that way too.  It seems like magic that some people can do it and others can’t.

Well, I’ve spent many years learning about that magic trick.

And I’m about to pull back the curtain for you now.

Regarding exercise, nothing burns blubber and builds lean muscle like bodyweight exercises.  There’s those magic moves again.

It goes back to all the extra physical and neurological development we’ve talked about with moving your own body through space.

The Eastern bloc sports scientists proved decades ago that this form of training produced many superior results – one of which was much increased fat burning.

When your body has to develop all the extra smaller muscles, the tendons, ligaments… better and new wiring for coordination, balance and ambidexterity… your cardiovascular system… strength, flexibility and mobility… all at the same time…  your metabolism goes through the ROOF!

That’s why we see a greater hormone (including anti-aging hormones) and fat burning response from bodyweight training.  Especially at higher repetitions and with the more multi-dimensional moves that fully engage the spine.

Here’s another little secret for you:  There’s one particular spinal exercise that not only activates many important glands, but it really enlivens and balances the thyroid.  And the health and vitality of your thyroid is KEY to fat loss.

A coach I greatly admire, Matt Furey, also showed me how to add deep breathing to this exercise and calls it the most effective form of Chi Gung.  It develops a POWERFUL calmness, energy, an in the flow state of mind, extra stamina and hormonal health.

Did you know that most of the fat we burn off leaves through our breath?

Yep, sure does.  Oxygen is the furnace.

A lot of people have lost 20lbs or more with Pam Grout’s ‘deep breathing for higher metabolism’ alone.  What are you going to do with deep breathing combined with the best oxygen increasing, hormone jacking and fat burning exercises on the planet?

We go through this routine in detail in The Next Level Sports Program.  It’s called NEXT LEVEL for good reason… it’s WAY ahead of the curve.

Order today, and see the fat melt off you like butter on a frying pan.

I thought he was having a stroke…

I have a friend who smokes a pipe.  He’s one of my older friends.

I play golf with him.  On one occasion we were playing in the dunes of Belmullet, Co Mayo… and I was up on the tee with our other two playing partners, when I spotted Owen lying down in the fetal position under a big mound.

He’s no spring chicken at 70, so I thought he was having a stroke or something.

I jumped off the tee and sprinted over to him.  As I got closer I realised he was just sheltering from the wind, to light his pipe.

I cursed at him.

He looked up laughing, the leg of the snuff furnace clasped between his lips… and he made that popeye ‘pbop pbop’ move out of the side of his mouth – puffing bursts of smoke into the air.

I have to say I love the smell of it.

Well you might think a man who smokes a pipe is vested with great wisdom… but you couldn’t be further from the truth.

Haha, just joking Owen.  In fairness, he does have a lot of depth and magnanimity to his Mayo soul.

In fact, I’d even go so far as to call him one of my mentors… or someone I’d seek advise from.

Just don’t tell him I said that.

Next thing he’d be at the pulpit whacking his pipe off the bible.  He’s a lot more dedicated to his faith than a more wayward soul like myself.  You have to respect a man of the code, even if I don’t agree with a lot of it.

Amen to that brutha…

We were playing golf again last week.  After the round ‘The Pipe’ cracked open an oyster and popped out a pearl for us to ponder and polish.

It went something like this…

‘They say we should never buy meat in Aldi, but I bought some fillet steaks there during the week and my wife and I both agreed it was the nicest meat we’ve had in years.’

For those of you that don’t know Aldi, they are a European company that found a way to source and distribute products of equal, and in some cases better, quality – at a much lower price.

On a big shop you can expect to save between €30 to €50.  It’s amazing really.

Why would you shop anywhere else?

What they do looks simple, but years of trial and error, research and testing went into perfecting their system.

Et al with what we do here with The Next Level Sports Program.

It looks simple, and it is, but there are thousand and thousands of hours gone into the end result.

Having the knowledge of WHY certain methods work so much better is also invaluable.

Sometimes we are duped into confusing simplicity and price with QUALITY.

The Next Level Sports Program is an elite program… that applies to everyone’s life, not just sportspeople.

PhD’s are telling us this is how people will be taught in college degree courses in the future.

I strongly suggest you order today before we come to our senses and mark it up to Mayfair prices – as that is what it is truly worth.

Now it’s your turn to zoom up in performance. Click here to order today
